10/10 Rocking at Hard rock café: The Stockholm based radio rock channel Rockklassiker each Friday holds a live broadcast from the Stockholm Hard Rock Café, the show is called “On the rocks”. In the late morning of Friday the 10th of October Rockklassiker called In Grey to ask if we could play that very same night, due to a cancellation. The sound check was only 3 hours away so we quickly assembled our gear and headed over to Hard Rock.  After an hour or so the gear had been set up and the sound check could begin. Everything developed pretty smoothly, except that we had to turn our amps down low due to a 100 db limit. After having turned the amps down to 20% of what we usually play at, finally we were approved. After the sound check we began to wind down, get in mood and have some beers. Shortly before the live performance Dennis and Niklas was interviewed on the radio and the songs “Life has changed” and “Mask” was played.  And then it was time for us to enter the stage and as the intro rolled on we were ready to deliver another solid show. Although we had absolutely no time to prepare for the gig, it turned out pretty good. The crowd seemed to appreciate the music, many were anxious to see us after the Latvian tour. At the end of the performance we played a new song called “Every time I burn” and the reponse was really great. The stage could have been bigger though, making it possible to move around some more, but what the hell. A great thanks to Rockklassiker that made this gig possible! |
